How do you book the Los Angeles Passport Agency?
The Los Angeles Passport Agency is in the West L.A. Federal Building at 11000 Wilshire Blvd. It works by appointment only, Monday to Friday, for travel within 14 calendar days, or within 28 days if you need a foreign visa.
Appointments are free. Book through the State Department's online appointment system, or call 877-487-2778 if you already applied. The State Department says it does not work with third-party booking services and may not honor appointments made through them.
Bring your printed confirmation, printed proof of travel such as a flight itinerary, your completed application, your documents, a passport photo and payment.
When does a private expediter make sense?
The State Department notes that appointment slots may not be available right away. A private expediting company takes your application and files it for you, so you do not have to find an open slot.
At our office at 11041 Santa Monica Blvd, Suite 309, we review your documents, take your passport photos and expedite your application. Speeds run as fast as 4 to 7 days for travel within 14 days.
What should you bring for a fast passport?
- Your completed form: DS-11 for a first passport, DS-82 to renew.
- Proof of U.S. citizenship, such as a certified birth certificate or your previous passport.
- A valid photo ID and a photocopy of it.
- One passport photo. We take them in our office.
- Proof of travel, such as a flight itinerary.
- Payment for the government fees.
